​Joy Zhang holds a Master of Business, Entrepreneurship & Technology from the University of Waterloo, and an earlier Master of Strategic Studies from Nanyang Technological University. Her professional experience spans Canada, Singapore, China and Hong Kong. Prior to co-founding Ecosystem 17, Joy spent 6 years at Meta as a Leadership Recruiter, supporting AR/VR hardware and advanced manufacturing supply chains across APAC. She was mentored by the Head of Startup Programs in venture ecosystem development and founded a tech-talk community at Meta Singapore. Joy is passionate about supporting founders’ growth, and fostering cross-border technology partnerships and capital flows for real-world impact.

Guojie Qi holds a PhD in Thermal Engineering from Tsinghua University and completed postdoctoral research at the University of Kentucky Center for Applied Energy Research. He is a carbon capture technologist and a cross-boarder project consultant with 20 years of experience advancing clean technologies and facilitating collaboration between global innovators and industrial partners in China.  Currently Guojie is a Project Director at ZGC International. His career spans fundamental research, process development, and industrial deployment across North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia, with a consistent focus on translating emerging CCUS concepts into commercially viable, scalable industrial solutions.
